By following the steps of your action plan, you will make a difference! As your project moves forward, be sure to MEASURE THE RESULTS OF YOUR EFFORTS. Keep track of signs that your project is working. You could measure the waste or pollution prevented, the number of people you influenced, and cost savings. Take pictures and keep records. You might need to change your plan as you learn new things along the way; even the best plans need some modifications.

Remember to arrange for your work to continue. The difference you make for the environment shouldn't end when you stop spending time on it. Convince others to make the project a permanent way of running a business, school or community.

Even if you decide to organize a one-time event, you can still take steps to make it a permanent solution by making it an annual or monthly event.

Your action plan, your measurements of how you made a difference and what you did to ensure that your work will continue will help you complete your project report. The next page will take you through the final step of your project.
